Popular instant messaging platform WhatsApp has experienced an outage. Due to this, thousands of users from different parts of the world including Bangladesh, and India are not able to send messages. The issue has already started in other social media.

Citing outage monitoring site Downdetector, the Indian newspaper Economic Times reported in a report that they have so far received about 30,000 complaints about WhatsApp outages. 68 percent of these complaints are about complications related to sending messages.

According to a report by another Indian media Hindustan Times, WhatsApp-owned Meta has already acknowledged the outage. A spokesperson for the company told Reuters that it has learned that some users are facing problems sending messages on WhatsApp. They are working to solve the problem as soon as possible.
